Dancing With The Bloggers

Do you remember the scene from “In and Out” where Kevin Kline’s character, Howard Brackett, is trying to not dance?

When you watched it were you all, pfft “Challenge accepted. No problem. Look. Here I am not dancing.” or, like me, were you physically pained by the thought of not movin’ and groovin’ to Gloria Gainer belting out “I Will Survive” to the point where you had to clench your muscles in the theatre seat so as to not jump up and dance for him?

Furthermore were you practically praying that Howard would just dance already?

Be who you are man – it’s okay we all have a thing. Move! Dance! Embrace yourself in all your glory and for heaven’s sake DANCE!

*If you haven’t seen “In & Out”, I think you should.

**This short and silly post has been sitting in my drafts since April and I am setting it free!

***I hope it made you smile.

****I also hope it made you dance.

    • I love it, too!

That’s so funny. Meanwhile I was singing in the mirror in my big bro’s room with ABBA, Andy Gibb, Rick Springfield and Queen. Eclectic!

*sings* Who can live without it, I ask in all honesty? What would life be? Without a song or a dance what are we? So I say thank you for the music. For giving it to me

  1. If my son hears music or anything with a beat (two spoons being tapped together even), he MUST move. His head, toe, hips or even a full out dance. He’s been like that since he was only months old. Clearly he got his rhythm from his Father.

As for my daughter, she loves to dance too but wouldn’t know a beat if it hit her other the head. Think Elaine from Seinfeld… https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DY_DF2Af3LM

    Thanks for the smile.

P.S. You always make me smile.

    • Aww. Remember when your kids were teeny and they would only bend their knees to dance? So sweet!

Mine are both musical and I love when we have kitchen dance parties, breakfast table dance parties, car dancing, falling asleep dancing… all the dancing. 😀

      We *love* Elaine Dancing! Classic.

I’m glad I made you smile. That makes me smile. 🙂
