Today has been a beautiful, happy, hope-filled day.

I love days like this.

*Forgive my extremely short post. I can’t stop smiling. I am too happy for words. I am so unbelievably happy and hopeful and you bet your ballot, I am optimistic!

About Peadyhttp://temperedwithkindness.comI’m sensitive and I’d like to stay that way.

  1. And that is why I voted liberal for the first time in my life (although in my riding it doesn’t matter as NDP usually wins and that was who I used to vote for all the time).

    • Wow! Thank you for voting, in the first place – because we just need more of that generally speaking.

I think it speaks volumes that you voted for a different party this time. I feel that so many good Canadians were tired of feeling like we would never be seen in a positive light on the World Stage again. That was a terrible feeling.

I so want our Canada back, you know?

I swear to you I am sleeping better since the election. Isn’t that odd? Totally Trudeau*. Hee hee! See what I did there?

There was so much to take note of yesterday. From the walk up the drive way to Rideau Hall to the quote of the year to the glorious November weather.

      I am just so hopeful.

      *True though 😀

  2. I think that there are a lot of optimistic Canadians out there. I, for one, am finding myself in the strange position of being interested in politics for the first time in my life….because I am hopeful that we, as a country are going to see some real, tangible, positive change. And I love that my oldest daughter, at 12, is showing a similar interest, and is feeling even more pride than usual at being a Canadian.

Yesterday was the first good day in what will hopefully be many, many more. 🙂

    • I think so, too!

How wonderful that you have been inspired to engage in a new found interest in politics.

      That’s fantastic!

Our kids are so excited. They love that Prime Minister Trudeau (OMG! I LOVE saying that!) said, very matter of factly, that he was thinking about his own children and all Canadian children during his first moments as PM (again, squee!).

I know it can’t possibly be all sunshine, lollipops and rainbows everywhere, but for the first time in a very, very, long time I have faith that I will be represented by my government.

The Cabinet LOOKS like Canada!! AMAZING!
